If you follow us on instagram then you'll have seen that we made one of these delicious cookies for Fathers day. Head over to our page and watch our latest reel, its a great one to do with the children!

Delicious and easy to make with a crisp outer layer and a gooey centre, this giant cookie is fast becoming a family favourite here at Our Own Home.
Here is the recipe which is taken from BBC Good Food,
125g butter, softened
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
225g self-raising flour
½ tsp salt
200g chocolate chips
Method
Stage 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4. Grease and line a round baking tin.
Stage 2
Cream butter and sugars, once creamed, combine in the egg and vanilla.
Stage 3
Sift in the flour and salt, then the chocolate chips.
Stage 4
Place into baking tin and cook for 20 minutes. Cookie should still have a wobble in the middle but this will firm once cooled.
Stage 5
Take out of the oven and leave too cool. Once cool decorate as desired!
And that's it! We buy ready made butter cream to decorate and our favourite sweets and chocolate, you can even bake a few and layer them to make a cookie cake!
Have fun and enjoy!!
